Not much time however, I just wanted to say that myself, my brother, and two others from church are off to the Mexico border with nearly 30,000 pounds of aid supplies. Please keep us in your prayers.
Thanks.

CI Day #4 Update
So... What do all the Tulsa CI teachers and staff do at 10:30 after teaching all day??? And on teacher lives on the other side of Tulsa? And on staff member has an hour and a half drive home? And another staff member has to be up for work just before 7am? The Answer, "go to SONIC" and have ice cream and talk till midnight! :) What great times of fellowship. I finally got to bed just after 1am. God is still doing great things with the kids. I was able to share the plan of salvation in large group once again with two of the stories. Pray that the little ones would be open to God's word.

This Past Week(end)!!!!
So life has been busy. Oh well, that is what keeps me out of trouble right? :-)
Monday was our ALERT Cadet meeting. Always a great time of fun, spiritual refreshment, skill training, and fellowship with other great hero's of the faith! :) Here are a few pictures.
Thursday was teacher training for the upcoming Children Program. Please be praying for all the teachers, staff, students, and parents. That God will bind Satan and his deceptions, remove distractions, and prepare everyone's heart.
Saturday all the guys spent the day cutting firewood, clearing brush, and chipping all the small stuff at the church where we have our meetings. Pictures HERE. Each and everyone of the guys did a great job and worked their hearts out for the church and the Lord. While the guys were doing that the ladies all met up with our friends the Duggar's who were in town for a book signing at B&N. After we finished cutting wood at 5pm the guys all headed over to B&N with the girls and friends. For dinner the Duggar's, us, and two other families from town went to Incredible Pizza. The wonderful, Christian owners there treated all 45 of us to free dinner and $5 game cards for everyone. None of us played any games, but we all still had loads of fun. Pictures HERE.
Please be praying for my family next week at the CP. I am the team leader/story teller, Elizabeth is materials, and Michael, John, and Julie are teaching.
Blessings,
Richard

God's Truth!
Proverbs 4:1&2
"HEAR, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law."
Am I listening to BOTH my Fathers? My Heavenly father and my earthly father? My Father in Heaven knows EVERYTHING. So why not go to Him for advice, counsel, direction, ect.? He has given us His Word which provides instruction and direction for every situation we can ever face in life. My earthly father, my dad, had lived many more years than I have. He knows the blessings and consequences of different actions. So seek out both your Father's when you need counsel. The benefits of that are obvious, We become a straight and true arrow that God can effectively use. The consequences aof not doing that can be devestating and result in my more people hurt because we are no true to the course! Stand Strong!

Deployment!!!!!
This past weekend our unit had the awesome privilege of going to Springdale Arkansas to serve the widows and elderly of a local church. Team 1 was able to head over on Friday evening. The 12 members of Team 1 unpacked and settled into the fellowship hall of Fellowship Bible Church of Springdale. Once things were set we gathered for a devotional lead by my father, Cadet Lt. Rick Shoemaker, from Daniel. How fitting to be studying a young man who was separated from from his parents and Godly mentors at an early age and required to stand alone. What a great charge for the young men on the deployment.
Saturday just after 6am everyone was up and getting ready for a great day serving the Lord and the people of Springdale. the day dawned cloudy and cold with the temperature hovering near 28 degrees. And... Much to our surprise the 30% chance of wintery mix was a full blown 1in of snow and ice. However, that was not enough to dampen the spirits of the men.
Team 2 drove over from Tulsa and began working on the west side of town while Team 1 headed north of town to start.
Midway through the day the two teams met up for lunch. By that time the wind was blowing 20+ mph and the temperature had dropped to 22 degrees where it stayed that rest of the day. Most of the guys stayed warm however, there were a few guys that got a little cool and we had to warm back up. :-) And added bonus for Team 1 came just before lunch when we were treated fresh doughnuts and hot chocolate! That sure hit the hot buttons of many of the young men.
By 6:30 both teams had cleared acres and acres of brush from 8 homes. At 4pm it began snowing once again. On the way out of town it took 30 minutes to get the 8 miles to the interstate because of the snow and slick roads. God protected us and was with us very mile of the way. After passing at least a dozen different wrecks we were finally to the highway and clear sailing.
Each and everyone of us was very thankful for the opportunity to serve. Everyone of us are thankful to our fathers who have trained us and loved us bringing us up in the knowledge of the Lord.

This was what the rear view mirror said most of the day. This was taken on the way home!
